The race was due to begin at  2.00 p.m. a large crowd gathered. all of them, were wheeled out to take up their positons. suddenly a loud cheer could be heard. it was a splendid matter to see so many racing cars of a  variety of colours at one  plece .  people  began  to  clap  when  the   pormer   champion  cntered  the  scene   he  was  one  perera.  at 2.00 sharp, a  pistol  shot  heard .  it  was  follwed  bya  roar  of  engines  .  the  race  nad   wingless  angines .  the  race had  wingless aeroplanes  were  fighting  with  each  other  for  the filrt  plce
